What follows is a press release for a new product announcement from VariZoom Lens Controls in Austin, Texas; as usual I have added in my own commentary about these controllers further below.

Austin, MD - December 16, 2005:
VariZoom Lens Controls proudly announces the release of the Rock-ZFI and PFI controls for the new Panasonic AG-DVX100B and AG-HVX200 cameras. The Rock-ZFI features a variable-speed zoom rocker, record/pause, and full manual focus and iris thumb dial controls, all of which can be operated with a single hand. The PFI is for those who already own a zoom control or wish to have separate zoom and focus/iris units for a more cinematic shooting style or greater flexibility.

Both controllers are compatible with the Panasonic AG-DVX100B and AG-HVX200. The PFI should sell for less than $200 and the ZFI for under $300. Both controllers may be purchased directly from VariZoom (click the banner at the top of this page, or through one of their authorized dealers.
