Canon VIXIA HG20 Images

Here's a closer look at the HG20 exterior...

The only difference between the HG20 and HG21 is the size of the internal hard disk drive (60GB in the HG20, 120GB in the HG21); and the inclusion of a viewfinder on the HG21. The HG20 (above) does not have a viewfinder.

The HG21 (above) has a viewfinder in addition to the flip-out LCD screen.

The HG20 from behind. If this were an HG21, it would have a viewfinder here.

Rear view of the HG20.

HG20 powered up, with LCD screen opened.

Various port covers open on the HG20.

HG20 from the right side.

Microphone input jack (red), AV / headphone output jack (yellow), Component video output terminal in between. A cable is included with the camera which breaks the D-terminal connector out to standard RGB outputs, using RCA plugs.

Mini-HDMI output terminal on the HG20. This cable (Mini-HDMI to HDMI) is not included with the camera.

The 8.4v DC power input jack at the rear of the HG20.

The SD / SDHC card slot access door on the HG20 / HG21 is different from the type used on the Canon HF series camcorders. The location of the USB2.0 jack is similar to the earlier HG10.

The HG20's automatic lens cover closed in place.

Lens cover opens automatically when the camera is powered on. To the upper right is the Instant AF sensor. To the lower right is the still photo flash. Note that unlike the Canon HF series, there is no LED video light on the HG20 or HG21.

37mm filter thread detail.

Mini Advanced Accessory Shoe cover, closed.
