I'm sorry to hear that DVRack hasn't worked out for you, particularly since my input may have factored into your decision to purchase it. All I can say is that my experience has been quite positive and I had no problem activating the software on two systems. I guess I'm just lucky that both are connected to the internet.
I suggested using the Serious Magic forum because I didn't remember seeing you post over there and thought maybe you were not aware of its existance. Since I purchased directly from Serious Magic, they emailed my username and password immediately, allowing access to downloads and the forum prior to activation. When purchased from a third party, I don't know what their process is for getting that information. Sounds like that's an area someone needs to address though.
