I have seen several CMOS cameras by now in work and holded it in my hands and let me assure that, CMOS look is way better than CCD look, and I am not technician to understand why, but DRAKE (I have done some shooting with it before they split up) MEDIATOR HD (russian camera
www.ctt.ru) and I had experience with High Speed CMOS camera also, and I finally am sure that for some reason, their output looks very filmlike, I even can't explain why, but it is true, and thus I not only have suspicion that CMOS is after 35mm, but I am absolutelly sure that it is future technology in film production.
