Glenn, thanks for responding!

So the s-Video inputs on the monitor are high enough quality that I don't need to connect via the BNC /YUV or whatever else there are back there?

My editing system (an alienware laptop) has an s-video out so I should be able to use that (depending on Vegas's ability to use the laptops s-video for external preview). I have never seen the s-video port as an external preview option so I suppose that is where using the GL2 as a passthrough and then the s-video out to monitor comes in.

I was hoping to not have to have the camera out any time I wanted to edit / use the monitor, but if I have to, then that is fine.

Also, how does this monitor stack up. Is it worth anything? Is it better than nothing? Is is a boat anchor (assuming it still functions, which I don't even know yet)?

Thanks again.
