I guess the idea behind WMP's de-interlacing is that many users would b*tch at Microsoft about lines in their files.
As far as I understand is that the HD7's output IS interlaced.
Normally, your editing software should provide you with de-interlacing during rendering if your footage is aimed to be watched on a computer screen.
