I'm sorry for a quite odd post. I'd like to keep the forum going for us not visiting NAB.
Here in Sweden its about midnight, 00:00 and 9 hours untill
the press release, It feels like christmas when I was young.

This is with out a doubt the most exciting news I've ever waited for.

I thought I could post what I would like to see in the RED cam.

* 100% filmmaker. All manual controls on both lens and cam.
* A small camera with a outstanding design. But it has to have som weight.
* Over 60fps in lesser resolutions (100 or more and I'll be super thrilled)
* Accessories, (Follow focus - Mattebox)
* A smart storage solution that offers a minimum of 30 mins compressed in 1K.
* Under 20K for a basic package without lenses but with battery and 1 storage unit.

Let's see if any of my dreams come true.

Oh, I've just noticed that the Flash file on the RED website works with the clock on the local computer, so it's not 9 Hours...

Sorry for that..

I watched the Red counter, count down to complete zero this morning and then the counter reset itself to 1 Day, 1 Hour, 1 Min, 1 Sec. But instead of counting down it's counting up.

Let hope it resets and recorrects once it reaches 999 Days. ;)

I don't think RED is a hoax.

Who said it was a hoax?

The site just got a case of strange flash programming.
(They could have used the server clock instead)

No Worries!

I just checked the Red clock here, and it reads....14 hrs..45 min to go....

Right on schedule.

Exciting times.

Who said it was a hoax?

It was the title of the post by Dial, although I don't know if he was joking or not. Red definately is not a hoax.

And Andreas... I think many people are feeling the little kid - christmas - enthousiasm at this moment. I know I sure do ;-)

Dial, there's nothing wrong with the countdown at my end. It says you have 13 hours and 45 minutes in which to read every article on the RED forum topic. Prepare yourself.

They use the time on the local PC and not the actual time of NAB. So by judging of those of you who are in the right timezone it shouldn't be released until afternoon/evening over here. Ahhh... I just wish (that other) programmers would learn that there are more than one timezone in the world...

EDIT: Easiest way to see that the counter is judged by your PC is to change your local time and the counter changes with it...

Sorry, to scare anyone just before showtime. I was just poking fun at the flash clock bug. ;)

Believe me, if I did find out that RED was fake then I would at least have made a new thread for it.
