Rob Lohman April 26th, 2006, 05:17 PM That was just an awesome read Chris, thanks so much! Chris Hurd April 26th, 2006, 05:20 PM Thanks Rob! The whole "sunglasses company" thing was bugging me so I had to write that. Francois Camoin April 26th, 2006, 05:27 PM Chris: not only a beautiful article, but also instructive. And the camera, functional at the moment or not, is genuinely a thing of beauty. Finally a camera that looks as if it was designed for the user. Rob McCardle April 26th, 2006, 05:31 PM Yes - thanks from me too, Chris. Great insight. Jeez - I hope some of the Red nay sayers have to eat their words sooner rather than later. cheers, r Heath McKnight April 28th, 2006, 12:01 AM Chris, Will we be seeing a second article? heath Steve Gibby April 28th, 2006, 01:40 AM Good stuff Chris! Thanks for revealing an important part of the roots of RED. There's a cause and effect relationship between all actions/reactions. Nobody pulls behavior out of a hat! Jim's been consistently progressive for decades now. It's good for the motion media community to realize that the emergence of RED and the RED One camera follow a sizeable history of creative and successful product design at Oakley, coupled with Jim's parallel expertise in photography and cinematography. Jim's been a longtime techie, shooter, and designer. Now he has surrounded himself with a expert team of engineers, visionaries, and advisors. The emergence of RED comes as no surprise whatsoever to me - it's another chapter in a unique book. |
