Everybody relax...

I had dinner with Frederic after Darren's 1st post and he told me Darren is a good guy. I can fully understand skepticism of this project. To some, it looks too good to be true. And if you feel this way, you might be tempted to "warn" your friends. It seems to me that Darren had other's interests in mind when he posted... more than disrespect for me. I will say that his warning was a bit strong, but leaving the community is an even stronger knee-jerk reaction. I would vote for and encourage Darren to relax a bit and stick around. I would love the chance to talk through his fears of our project. Who knows? Maybe a few others are quietly feeling the same way.

Now, that is maturity... Honored to be part of a cyber comunity where you can experience, not just technical growth, but sanity wisdom.

I don't see why it is so hard to believe. It is quite technically possible. And with the good financial backing the project has, then why not? I believe!

Thank You for being level headed toward someone who could have had a verbal whipping coming his way by someone without the character you must have.
I think on these kind of forums we all need to step back once in a while and just realize we are talking cameras here, not nearly enough to get worked up about.
Again, Thanks Jim for taking the high road.

Jim,

It is somewhat odd to have a post titled with my name on it.

First, I believe you must know by now, I visited Frederic today at your booth and extended my apology to him, and your team. That included you.

I've asked Chris to remove me from the community because of the removal of my last post, which he so far has not done. With editing of my comments, it is impossible to present my entire point of view. It is not in my best interest, or the community to base comments on only part of what I said. It is misleading and inappropriate. Hense my request.

I've posted this because I could not reply off line directly to you.

If you want to contact me, I can be reached at

dkelly@masterworks.ca

or by calling ***-***-****. I will be in the office on Friday Afternoon.

I wish you and your team the very best of luck and success.

To everyone else, I extend my sincere apology if I offended you. Please make your own opinion, mine does not matter much.

I once again request Chris to remove me from his community, and I wish you all the best

Cheers

DBK

Darren, (along with each and every member of DVi) if you don't want to be part of this community just don't post -- especially not in a way that flagrantly violates the TOS. Chris and his moderators only edit TOS violations; that's all they did in this case. You also edited your own posts ex post facto, which is certainly OK but was done for your own reasons, not DVi's. I don't see why Chris would ban you just so you could say you were oppressd by those evil DVi people. Your choice is to post within the TOS...or just don't if you don't want to.

Jim, you're a most magnanimous man. I removed Darren's personal phone number from public view, which we normally do for the member's protection. We made note of it non-publically so any of the moderators can forward it upon request.

I've asked Chris to remove me from the community because of the removal of my last post, which he so far has not done. I'm currently at a trade show with more important matters at hand. I will not remove you from this community, that's your own decision to make. As for the editing of posts, that policy is clearly stated from the beginning and you agreed to those terms when you first registered your account on this site. Like everybody else, I hope you'll choose to stick around.

Darren, it's wrong to penalize you for an opinion. The negative rebuttles and actions were as a direct consequence of how you went about it, and the face value of the words you've used. That doesn't make you any less of a person.

Likewise, it would be wrong of us to attack you personally. We're only refuting your written word, and not you the man. Everyone one of us on the forum has or will at sometime be in the same spotlight. It's human nature.

I'm sorry if my rebuttle has offended you, and like you, it was my opinion. That's all. Nothing more, nothing less.
