Rodney is the man! Impressive, especially since he's shooting 24 with it, meaning it seems to handle low light/blacks well.

I’m a huge fan of “24” and of your camera! It would great to see them come together. Let us know if they decide to use it in production.

Speaking of productions, I’m part of a local group of people who are getting ready to shoot a low budget full length motion picture. It’s a WWII submarine movie and it is all coming together great! We have the WWII sub to shoot on, a retired Admiral to advise us (the first skipper of our boat), the full crew, the script, many of the actors and all of the equipment we need, except for ONE thing!!!!! Know what that is?

Yup! We are waiting for your camera! Between us we probably have 10 to 15 HD cameras, Canon’s, Sony’s, Pany’s and JVC’s. But, we aren’t going to shoot a single frame until our DP’s RED ONE arrives. His reservation number is around #1130 something and we are all holding our breath with him. Now looks like December, so that will make it a great Christmas present!

Thanks for the great job you have done getting this new camera developed and thanks for letting all of us here feel like we are a part of the project by your participation on this forum. You are going to change the industry and make a lot of movie makers very happy!

Good post, Mike. I have a feeling people will look back years from now on REDs success and decide to change their business models. This could be revolutionary from more than one angle. :)
