Great Deal on an Optura 50
Thanks for sharing your adventures with the Optura line. I ordered an Optura 50 today for a terrific price.
I'd appreciate recommendations for a decent indoor mike for interviews. Dorothy |

Congrats, that is a great price on the Optura 50. If you're trying to go as inexpensively as possible, two Audio Technica ATR35s lapel mics will run you about $70 and work fine.
Otherwise, here are some more different types of inexpensive mics that will work for an indoor interview: - Rode NT3 - use mounted on a stand or boom. Also good for voiceovers. Hyper-cardiod, battery or phantom powered. - Audio Technica AT831b - Battery powered lavalier mic - Electro Voice RE50 series or the AKG D230 - Dynamic omni handheld mics. No battery needed. Two things to keep in mind: 1. Position the mic as close as possible to the interviewee/er 2. Avoid using a shotgun indoors, they work best outdoors. *none of the mics listed above is a shotgun mic
