Audio off-synce when down-converting from HDV in-camera

Hi all, a cursory search on this issue didn't seem to generate any results but I doubt I'm the only person who's had a problem with this. I'm trying to down-convert inside of my XH-A1. The imported footage has audio sync issues, which have been frustrating to fix manually. FYI, I'm down-converting to SD so I can export back out to DV. I've tried four different tapes and had the same results. Your prompt help is greatly appreciated -- need this done for a client asap!
