Help a noob! I'm trying to sync 2 XL-H1's....

I could use a little instruction, please. We have 2 XL-H1's I'm working with, syncing up with a Roland Edirol R4-Pro. I have the 2 cameras attached with a BnC cable with the 2nd camera attached to the R4-pro. The timecode is coming through to the R4-pro audio recorder, but when we looked at the tracks in Premier...I couldn't see where to find the timecode numbers to match up the video and audio tracks. Also, can I expect the 2nd camera to automaticly pop into record mode when record on the first camera is pressed? If that's possible, it's not happening now. Any insight on this from the pros here, would really be appreciated! Thanks in advance, Marty

Each camera has to be triggered into record separately. You might be able to to use one remote to trigger both cameras ( I don't remember if the remote actually lets you start and stop recording) but there is no control function from one camera to another. Timecode and genlock allow the cameras to be synced but the record function is not controlled by the Master Slave relationship

Thanks much, Daniel... I was trying the remote trick, but that ends up being a bit awkward if the cameras are separated. ;0)
