Vimeo in 16:9

I have a few clips that I would like to post on Vimeo. I've used the GL2 in 16:9 mode with FCE and transfered down to DVD without problems. I would like to upload to Vimeo in 16:9 but it always turns out 4:3 and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong, any ideas on how to go about this?.

Thanks
Steve

From what I understand, the GL2 does not record native 16x9. So what you are getting is a matte 4x3 image (i.e. the black bars). To get vimeo to make your footage look like 16x9, you will either have to live with the black bars in 4x3 mode or I would try to crop your footage to 720x405 (I beleive). But then you might run into problems with aspect ratios...since obviously they are not square pixels. Humm......I would just stick with the 4x3 and black bars, since thats how the footage is suppose to be viewed.
