Howcast??

hey y'all

just checkin to see if anyone out there is involved in Howcast Emerging Filmmakers program (howcast.com, howcastfilmmakers.com) and if they are generating any revenue from creating instructional vids for this site. I had signed up a while back and let it fall by the wayside, but I was watching some vids on the site the other day and some are actually very cool and professionally done.

any thoughts, experiences?? please share

I did make one howcast video with the help of my girlfriend. I certainly enjoyed it, and found it to be a quick way to make some extra cash on the side.

I would recommend it. I don't see any problems with howcast whatsoever.

Hey,

My name is Heather and I'm the manager of Howcast's Emerging Filmmakers Program. I thought I'd take a second to chime in on this thread.

The program is designed to give beginning filmmakers a chance to produce creative yet professional how-to videos for Howcast. We provide all the tools you need -- script, voice over, graphics, and music -- and you provide the vision.

We have been getting some really great spots through the program. You can see some of my favorites here:

How To Increase Serenity Video | Relaxation Videos | Howcast.com
How To Know When It?s Time To Quit Your Job Video | Job Offers & Job Departures Videos | Howcast.com

The process is fairly straightforward. Follow this link to apply (and learn more about the program): Make Video, Launch Your Career with the Howcast Emerging Filmmakers Program. When you're ready to apply, you'll first sign-up to create a Howcast account, then go to the Emerging Filmmakers Program application.

If you have any more questions, please let me know. I'm always happy to help!

Happy holidays!

-Heather

Hey Heather,

I just got an email from you this morning actually, I hadn't seen that you had posted here.

Anyways, I had started an application and not made a video yet just cuz the holidays were so busy and I didn't have the time to dedicate to it (traveling and such...).

I fully plan on revisiting the site and making a vid in the near future once the holiday hype dies down a bit!!

Thanks,
Brendan
