EX1 Dowres test
I've heard a number of times that downresing HD footage to SD is problematic and produces poor footage. I decided to test that theory.
I took some 1280x720 footage shot on the weekend and converted it to SD. I welcome your comments: The original 1280 version: http://www.vimeo.com/1456607 The converted SD version: http://www.vimeo.com/1476255

Hi Perrone,
unfortunately the downconverted version ist not fit to fill but what I have seen is what I recently heard from my TV collegues. I sent them a SD version of a MXFfile I found in internet and they said it was perfect. I would say: No limits!!!! ;-) Markus |

Not fit to fill? I don't know what that means.

The SD version in Vimeo doesn't fill the screen, it's just the small size.

Yes, it's an SD downres. It's supposed to be that way.
