Best way to get a filmlook for a concert movie

We have shot a concert movie on XDCam IMX

I use Final Cut Studio 2.

I want to give the concert shots more of a "filmlook".

I usually use Magic Bullet. But a friend on a postcompany said that he think I should use Color that ships with FCP Studio.

Because you can work with the gamma on red, blue and green, individual.

The problem is that im newbie on color - to be honest im not a grading guy at all, im just a editor BUT we didnt have the money to go to a post grading company.

So...

The biggest problem with the shots is a red tint on the skin. So what I really want is to get away with the red and give the shot alittle bit of grain and smooth vignettering.

Do you have any advice for me?

Thanks
