Sell JVC GY-HD251 for Sony EX3?

What are your thoughts on selling my JVC GY-HD251 for a Sony EX3?

I'm really happy with the JVC but I do a lot of stock footage and 1080p I can get with the Sony EX3 would be a huge bonus.

John.

My personal inclination would be to let a few of the EX3's new owners do the voyage of discovery, find any faults and evolve best methods, unless your HD251 has already paid for itself or will do so on being sold off. But I have also been told I am cheap.

On the other hand, the resale value of the HD251 might not hold up for long if the EX3 takes off or a JVC EX3 killer arrives on the scene and replaces the HD251.

I LOVE my HD200U except for one thing - LOW LIGHT! THAT would be a reason for me if I didn't hate the form factor of the new Sonys so much.

Yes I've noticed the low light thing too - its very hard to film bats and lighthouses with the JVC. There is still so much to like about it though.

I'll have to give it some thought.

I guess my question is, will the EX3 produce the same high quality footage?
