An interior design partner of ours (who also runs a production studio) wants to build sets for his production studio...
We are discussing creating a set for a nice apartment, a living room a bathroom set, an interview set. -All built like a TV show for a studio audience with an open wall and room above for rigging lights of course...

Now my initial thought is that anyone who needed a set; most of them would need something more specific to there production that would need to be built specifically... But is there a market for a production studio that has sets pre-made for any client that might need them? (commercial clients, Industrial and corporate videos, indi films, ect) ???

The deal is that he also runs a large furniture store. The sets would have two purposes. When not being used for filming something they would be inside this furniture store with the store's furniture as a set up to sell there furniture. (An example room like they do in "Room's to Go")

So I am wondering if any production companies currently do this sort of thing? - have sets pre-made?
