Need a jib/crane to take to Africa...
Any ideas on brands/models that are portable enough for check-in luggage?

I really like the Pro Jib 9.0 I own. it breaks down into 3 x 3' pieces. and you can use it as a 9 footer or 6 footer it uses a cable system to maintain geometry and comes with the cable for both 6' and 9' modes. This is the most compact one I have seen, all others I have seen break down into 2x 4' pieces. and its only those 3 pieces (plus the cables), and your sticks. very simple and elegant. I have pics of it here in other threads.
