I bought it used.. I shot SD the first few months I had it on a project.(read in on another camera used as a deck) When it came time to read-in HDV footage from the cam, it didn't work. I should have check it right away. Don't have anyone to transfer yet. Transferred analog to SD for clients reference DVD. Any good component to firewire boxes out there not too $$$$?

Some thoughts...

You could try to rent an AJA or Blackmagic box from somewhere like Fletcher or Video Equipment Rentals in Chicago. They rent for between $25 and $50 a day, and they could have one to you via UPS the next day.

If you get REALLY desperate, I'm only a state away in Northwest Indiana. I've got a 250u, and can probably help you figure something out... virtualchuck@yahoo.com
