The uderwater POV are the only shots I didn't do. All the rest were mine. Including -gasp! the voice over. hehe.

3D animation titles I do in MAX while map animations are done in after effects.

Edius is still my NLE of choice, especially that HQ now does alpha channels.

That's a great project Daniel, very worth while, it's a real thrill to see people break lose through a sport like that, paraplegic, one legged and blind skiers are a lesson to us all too. Here's one I baked earlier:

This is my poison, (I specialize in shooting on skis) in fact it's two short clips from a documentary I shot this in Colorado, the end sequence was kind of fun to do, excuse the awful puns!

A thought which may help Daniel, is that you can afford to back off with your reflector - I think you may have been using a foil faced "Lastolite" or similar, the trick is to pinpoint your actual source of light, in this case the sun, and only gently fill from the opposing side. So in this case where the sun is high and behind the subject it would be natural to keep the camera left (her right) or "on camera" cheek darker than the "off camera" cheek. so you could have used a more diffused bounce and further off. This would look good, help you avoid reflections in glasses and, very importantly, make it much easier for your interviewees. Just a thought, great shots and story though.

I must apologize, the link above is to a video clip that I could have shot on a 200 series camera - wish that I had if you like. In fact I shot it on a Sony BVW 700 with a front end wide angle and a 9 Amp PAG battery on the back, I guess the weight of that alone was what kept me on the surface really! How I wish we'd had these GY-HD 200 series cameras then. Maybe I wouldn't have become the "Hunch Front of Notre Dame".

A while back, I posted a link to the Congoro website and their preliminary trailer.

The project is now complete with all sound work, colour grading and enhancements all done. The guys are now finishing off the interviews for the DVD. The music vid is done.

The origination was on JVC GY-HD100 with Mini35-400 and Nikon prime lenses.

The long version trailer has been posted on YouTube and can be found here :-
