Letus rods mk2 or Zacuto?

I am about to invest in a Letus Extreme. I borrowed a friends to try it out but was not impressed with the Letus rails ver.1.

Now - should I go for the new Letus rails or the Zacuto rails? The Letus rails are about $700 and the Zacutos are a bit more than $900.

Anyone with Zacuto experience that have tried out the new Letus rails?

Also - do you think the raiser bracket ver.1 is good enough for the extreme or should I try to get hold of the ver.2 bracket if I get the Zacuto?

Ola - You may also consider the Redrock rails with hi riser. Letus customers report the setup is much more stable, doesn't get in the way of tripod heads, doesn't flex, and is much more affordable (riser and rods are around $300)

Hope that helps

Thanks! I just ordered the Zacuto rails + the new ver. 2 Letus riser. Zacuto has a summer sale right now and they have much lower shipping costs to europe than Letus direct so it turned out to cost me as much as the rails ver.2 iwould, in the end.

Got it!

This is amazing. I ordered my Letus with Zacuto rails from Zacuto just before midnigt this monday. Today (wednesday afternoon, same week!!!) it arrived here in Stockholm, Sweden.
I was very lucky to be able to buy the new Letus support bracket ver.2 from Zacuto as they had one laying around left over from an Ultimate they had to return.
Anyway - I could not afford an Ultimate but I do believe I have the Ultimate rails solution: Zacuto baseplate, raiser and rods and the ver.2 Letus support bracket.
I am very impressed with the quality of the Zacuto stuff! Absolutely amazing finish and rock solid! I have not seen the Letus rails ver.2 complete system but judging from the support bracket they are still a few yards behind Zacuto. The quick release screws from Zacuto are soooo much smoother and more distinct. Since the price difference is not that much I would advice anyone looking into the Letus rails ver.2 to also have a look at the Zacuto rails.
As frosting on the cake Zacuto had a summer sale that gave me 10% off. The Letus, EX1 optimization, Ver.2 raiser, Nikon mount, Zacuto baseplate with stainless steel screws, extra extention rods and raiser totaled $2500 incl. shipping to Sweden.

Now - all I need is a lens so I can try it all out. The Letus arrived just a little bit to quickly for me to have that detail sorted.
