Xacti Inter Clip Delay and faster SDHC cards

One of the reviews mentions that the HD2 (I think) takes about 10 seconds after finishing recording one clip before one can shoot the next clip on a HD2, probably at maximum resolution.

The reviewer said that it was difficult to take footage of a batters at a baseball match unless one left the camera rolling (?) all the times because the delay greater than the delay between batters.

How long is the inter-clip delay on your Xacti, what is the model and what is the speed (class or x times) of your SDHC card?

I read on these forums
http://dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.ph...ght=sdhc+class
that the Xacti only requires a class 2 card. But perhaps if one were to use a class 6 card the interclip delay might be reduced?

Scandisk class 2 are about 50% cleaper than the A data class 6. Both come with a reader.

Just tried shooting the PC clock with my SD1, stopping and starting immediately. There's 3-4seconds lost between takes.

I probably should not have bothered with the class six then. I will report back with the interclip delay when it is delivered.

I have a 8G Class II SDHC and a 2G 150x SD. 2G 150x SD has a faster response. I have HD2.

My class 6 (I think that may be the 150 times) takes about 4 seconds between clips. It is more the time that it takes to react to being told to stop recording than the time between clips which is pretty much instantaneous.
