Any experience with / opinions about nNovia?

Hello All,

A friend of mine just took a position with nNovia and he has offered to let me demo one of their hard disk recorder units. Does anyone have any experience using their products? How do they compare with FireStore, Citidisk etc? I am new to the area of recording direct-to-disk so I thought I would get some input here.

Thanks in advance for any commentary and guidance.

Terry

Just bought the A2D version of the QC120.

Very happy so far.

Perhaps would have preferred BNC connectors instead of the spider cable.

And the extra step of 'Make filesystem' makes the process a little slower than you'd think.

Will let you know more when I get it mounted and cabled to the camera.

I have had nothing but good luck with nnovia.

IMO, they are worlds better than the focus products.

I've got the fsc as well and I totally love it. It hasn't let me down once. It pays for it self after a while, with not having to by tapes anymore. The battery is a problem though. I don't do to much ENG style work. I do mainly short films so I have power ran to the fsc. I say get it. You'll love it and if you're ENG kinda guy, you'll probably buy more battries anyways!

Love,
Jimmy
