Sony Beta tapes on to DVD

I am very new at this, I would like to edit and put my old Sony Beta tapes on to DVD

I have a Sony Stereo Video Cassette Recorder model SL-HF600
and am thinking of getting the Canopus ADVC-110 Digital Video Converter
and also Adobe Premiere Elements 7
My computer is a new Dell XPS 730 running Vista

Do you thinks this combination of hardware and software would meet my needs?

I welcome any help or suggestions on this subject ....

Thanks Glenn

Hi Glenn, welcome to DV Info Net.

I usually recommend the Canopus converters, so your list sounds like the perfect combination to me. You might want to consider an external hard drive to store all of the video you'll be capturing.
