Bayer Interpolation in gs400

Hello,

I read following article.

http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/bayer.htm

My understanding is nv-gs400 is a 3ccd camera. Will photo mode of nv-gs400 used three CCDs to take photo and don't need Bayer Interpolation? Does that no need Bayer Interpolation apply for video mode to capture video footage?

Thank you for your time to read my message and I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards
Leigh

The answer is in that link, sort of. A Bayer pattern is a function of a single-chip camera. You don't have that on a three-chip camera like the GS400 and yes it uses all three CCDs to create a still photo. The color systems between 3CCD cameras (such as the GS400) and 1CCD cameras that have an RGB color filter (such as the Canon Optura series) are very similar in the way they build color information though. Hope this helps,
