Telephoto converter lens for DVC30

Is there a DVC30 user here who can recommend to me a quality, budget-friendly telephoto converter lens for this cam? I'm looking at the Canon TL-H43 1.7x lens at B&H but am also considering a 2x telephoto lens made by 'Digital Optics' on a certain major auction site.

I have no problem shelling out the extra dough for a quality lens--esp from a site I trust like B&H. But how much worse would the less-costly Digital Optics lens be? It comes bundled with a wide-angle lens at a much lower price which makes me think the quality may really be lacking.

Thanks for the help.

The Sony HG-1758 1.7x extender will serve you well. I have used it for a while. You will need a 43mm to 58 mm step up ring to make it fit you DVC30.

Another lens that I heard works well is the Raynox DCR-1540PRO 52mm 1.54x. Again, 43mm to 52mm step up ring needed.
