PLEASE HELP! pixelated noise in my video!

I am filming some baseball pieces this summer and have been using a panasonic DVX100A. The audio makes some pixelated blips every once and awhile. It is not always when audio is very high, this has happened when audio has been far below peaking. The video seems to be intact, at least most of the time. Some spots have shown a pixelated blip in the video when the audio blips simultaneously. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Dirty camera? bad tapes? Any suggestions would help.

Sounds like dirty tape heads. You can use a dry head cleaner and see if that clears things up. If that doesn't do the trick, take it in for a pro cleaning- shouldn't run more than $100. More details here:
