HVX footage

I have been watching a few clips shot with the HVX and noticed on the outside perimeter edge of the footage, it's darker. I'm not sure what causes this. It could be a filter of some kind applied but i'm not sure. Does anyone else know what I'm referring to?

thanks

Send some links. As a general characteristic of the HVX200- never, ever heard of this... You probably saw something with a vignette applied.

Might it have been fitted with a lens adapter? If so, vignetting often occurs when the camera isn't zoomed in enough to frame the adapter's ground glass properly.

To me, it looks like its an artistic choice accomplished by a filter addition. Could have started with vignetting with shooting a super wide fisheye attachment. I am guesising this is not 35mm adapter footage, as many shots with the vignetting show a super deep depth of field, but they could have shot with high Fstops with 35mm, which would also account for vignetting..
