Red and Avid DS?

Is there any word on how Avid's DS system is handling Red footage? Thanks much.

Peter,

I imagine the best workflow would be to convert the r3d files to DPX or DNXHD using Redcine. I wouldn't be surprised if a future version of DS works with r3d natively.

Cheers.

I'm doing a project on Avid DS right now.

You basically use DPX files like you would with any other DI tool. DS treats the material like any other film project except there is no keykode, just timecode.
