Re: PXW-X70, Shotgun Mic Too Loose.
I think the 250 CX is around the same diameter as my Rode NTG 1.
I just use a couple of wraps of thick elastic tape.
Kind of down and dirty, but it's worked fine for years.

Re: Polarizing filter & depth of field AX-53
Hi Dave

As you have mentioned, it does a great job of using its "intelligent auto" to juggle shutter speed, iris, and gain (ISO) to produce excellent...

Re: Premiere CC2019 and 2018 compatability
Geoffrey- you mention the possibility of finishing your project in Premiere 2015.
In my experience projects are absolutely not back compatible.
PPro 2015 will not open a PPro 2018 project.
If you...

Re: New Sony AX-53 Testing
It's amazing, actually.
It's got the lens block mounted on a gimbal that tracks the shot.
It not only covers the handheld shaking, it will smooth out walking shots, etc.

Re: ND Filters
My take on it is that the ND filters on the pro cameras are used to give you flexibility with regard to depth of field.

Re: Adobe pemiere pro CS6 rubber bands
Another simple visual aid is to make the audio track much larger.
If you move the cursor to the left side of the timeline ( the area that denotes Video 1 & 2, Audio 1 & 2, etc.) and place it on the...

Re: Sony AX 53- time for upgrade??
Interesting indeed.
This is the first I have heard of the AX 60.
Looking at the specs, I can't really spot any differences from the AX 53.

Sony AX 53- time for upgrade??
My champion travel cam, the CX 760, is finally on it's last legs.
It seems like the obvious replacement would be the AX 53.
Since it has been on the market for a couple of years already, plus I...

Re: Hardware suggestions for PC Premiere upgrade
My personal solution to the hardware problem is a Dell 7910 (now the 7920) workstation with a single Xeon CPU (you can select among several models)
Win 10 Pro 64
32 GB RAM
4 SSD:
500 GB System...

Re: Z90 Sensor Burn-in?
Wow- I've used Sony video cameras for 25 years and never seen "... out of the box, a large amount of color noise..."
Have I been missing something all these years??

Re: New PP CC 2017 washed out export
Paul
Thanks for reporting back. It's a good lesson for me.
It is always a shock to look at a "routine" render and see something totally wacky.
Like, hmm... where do I start??
