Re: Camera Mounted Wireless Lav Mics for HD100?

Using my AT system I can honestly say that the only time I had interference was when someone had a Blackberry type device near my kit and then only on 2 or 3 occasions. By and large when I...

Re: Top quality for a 45 minute dvd in DVDArch

I burned thousands of under 60 minutes DVDs in my days and never went more than 8 for top number, 6 for average and 2 for minimum using VBR. The number of discs that didn't work was maybe 6 and every...

Re: Lav mics what do the major networks use?

Mike,
If you're going to get the Sennheiser mic clips you don't have to cut anything because the clips snap in and out. Takes about 1 second. Also the mice actually clip in by the mic cable and...

Re: Lav mics what do the major networks use?

Re: Lav mics what do the major networks use?

The major stations here in the Chicago area and others that I know use Sanken CS11(D) with Sennheiser clips almost exclusively.

Re: Manfrotto TRipod with ground level spreader

To each his own I guess, but I used the 525 legs with a 501 head, a 501 HDV head, a 503 head and for about 3 years + a 504 head always with a center spreader and I can honestly say I never had a...

Re: How do you know that this profession is for you?

I don't think it's a matter of knowing that this profession is the thing you want to do for the rest of your working life as much as knowing when it's time to get out. Between my years as a still...

Re: Shutgun mic clamp diameter too large?

Tape the mic barrel or if you have an old bicycle inner tube laying around cut a small piece and use that but tape is faster easier, cheaper and adjustable.
