Re: Flickering problem - 25i - DVD - Premiere

I've no idea if if will help, but PAL DVD should be Lower Field First.

Re: External Battery

Same here, Jim. I got an Anker charger for my iPhone, and in tests I did a 24 hour timelapse on my GoPro!

Now all I need to do is find a use for that....

Re: First TV commercial - advice needed UK

Have you used a C300 before, Clive?

I'd much prefer to have some time to practice before I bravely head out on a paying job with an unfamiliar camera....

Re: What do you do if it rains?

You lot don't know rain until you've stood in the Irish countryside for hours in January in driving rain so cold it makes your fingers blue.

Jessies, the lot of yiz!

Re: GoPro: Is it you, or is it me?

Try a GoPro 3 or 3+. It's night and day difference - especially the built in wi-fi for monitoring and controlling the camera. Make sure firmware is updated to the latest version too. I found the...

Re: DVD duplicator tower

I have a 3-drive version of this (I think it's 4... maybe 3). Other than that, it's the same as you describe.

3 discs? Where's the time saving? Simple, you can do other things while it does the...

Re: How do I achieve shallow depth of field with AG-AC130?

I presume you NEED shallow DOF? Or is it just cool?

The AC130 is great for run & gun, ENG-type or documentary type work. I've just polished off a 30 minute documentary with interviews etc., and...

Re: Hey guys. Looking to spend $2000 on wedding/event video camera(s)

Sony NX70: be careful. They are robust, well-built, waterproof, lots of features for a small camera. Great in low light too.

But the lens has quality issues, they're really only practical for...

Re: Current Tripod is "Touchy"

Finn,

Try looking beyond Manfrotto. I don't know why people are obsessed with it.

$2000 should get you a lot of Vinten, Miller, Sachtler...

Re: Current Tripod is "Touchy"

If I had to use a rubber band or a spring to get good performance from my tripod, I would go mad. Or madder.

A Vinten Vision Blue tripod does not cost significantly more than the Manfrotto...

Re: Horizontal banding/interlace problems on premiere cc

Eddie,

Importing some files, I find that Premiere interprets them wrong, and gets the field order wrong, making sort of horizontal choppiness and nasties on many shots.

Right click the source...

Re: Batteries/memory cards for HXR-NX70E package

Actually, scrub all that crap I wrote about the AT875R. I always used the stock Sony mic that came with the camera, the AT875R was a boom mic or off-camera mic. The Sony was plenty good for on-camera...

Re: PluralEyes the best to match video?

Both PluralEyes and Premiere's built-in synch will synchronize videos and audio.

I've used them to synchronise 3 GoPros and a camcorder and Tascam recorded. Puts all the audio and video in the...

Compact on-board audio for a compact camera. Keep it small.

Re: Batteries/memory cards for HXR-NX70E package

Peter,

Basic question. What are you shooting? This seems to be an attempt to turn an NX70 into a studio camera (with dolly etc.). It's a great little compact run & gun camera, with useful...

Re: PluralEyes the best to match video?

For basic synching, the built-in Synchronize feature in Premiere Pro CC normally does it for me. I only break out to Pluraleyes if it's a lot of tracks, or if Premiere has problems with synching the...

Re: ND Filters for the AC90

Also, go for a good brand - B+W, MRC filters are pretty good. Cheaper NDs are going to give you color casts and other prob lems.
