This is not the case. At 1080 data rate (storage, bandwidth, not sure of the right word)requirements are beyound the camera's ability.

For slow motion you would have to use 720/30p or 720/24p which enables you to use the 60 frame setting. This setting is unavailable in 1080 for file size reasons.
