Re: how to get the video properties of clips on the PC?

When you shoot video two files are created, a MOV and a THM, both with the same name but different extensions. For example: MVI_0325.MOV and MVI_0325.THM. Many people will discard the THM file when...

Re: how to get the video properties of clips on the PC?

ZoomBrowser works for me. The Shooting Information inside the Properties panel shows info including ISO. You must have the THM file along with the MOV file however, as that is where the info is...

Re: Does the Canon HV40 have analog/digital pass through?

I just tried the pass through with the HV40 and it does work, but is a little tricky. I have to go to the menu and select AV>DV to ON each time I start the camera because it resets to the default OFF...

Re: New Technicolor Profile Is Amazing

Chris,

Curious why you are using the 5248 LUT rather than the CineStyle? Do you find it more accurate or pleasing? For me the CineSytle is on the verge of being too flat and the 5248 even more so....

Re: Good video lens for my 7D?

The 16-35 is also a great lens, but for video on the 7D I think the 17-55 is still an easy winner. Although the 17-55 it is not an 'L' series lens (none of the crop lenses are) the quality is very...

Re: Good video lens for my 7D?

Although the 24-70 is a great lens, for the 7D crop I think it is not wide enough. The 17-55 f/2.8 sounds like it would be a good fit for what you are looking for. It covers a good range for video,...

Hans,

I've updated and still get peak files generated each time I open the project. Is there anything else that you might have done besides the update?

Thanks,
Lloyd
