I'd have to add that the reason I like owning "pro" or what I call "standard" gear is that I work with different crews from shoot to shoot. I myself want to be up on the tech, as well as I don't want...

hmmm.... that doesn't really make sense.
Hold up a 35mm slice of film up to your XL1 CCD. That is the difference I believe you're going to get. It is less magnification than the EOS lens...

All great comments above.
You might play with over the shoulder shots, allowing the two characters to interact a little. These things are subtle but have a lot of impact. Of course I don't know...

I like the bucket cap purely for practical reasons. It shadows my face and head with full 360 degree coverage, plus it's floppy and I can flip up the brim when I need to operate...

Cinegear Expo?
Anyone going? I'm there this Friday. I'll probably be wearing my ZGC/Canon DV bucket cap. Stop me if you see me, I have long hair.
Exciting... we'll be bringing back a Pro35 on this trip. Right on!

I've been shooting a lot of things with the mini35. Just finished a feature and a short. The short was cool because it was all handheld documentary style, or more appropriately mocumentary....

Jim, cool set up.
If you have AB bats, you might want to just run them through a 12v cable to the Sony monitor. That's the best way to go. The NP1's don't last for very long (hour with 2...

In short, it's not a good idea to attach the PD150 to the mini35. I haven't tried it, but I have tried it on a DVX100. The results we got for the DVX100 where good, but not as clear and great as the...
