Sony VCL-HG0737Y Wide Angle

Looking for the Sony VCL-HG0737Y for my new HC1, anyone have an idea of someone that actually has it in stock?

Hey Miguel,

Kinda wondering myself. I have one backordered, and really would like one now. The manufacturer's site does not have them available right now either.

I hope they have not stopped production of them due to the discontinuation of the HC 1. The new HC 3 uses 30mm lens attachments.

Doubt the 'Y' lens is discontinued Jamie.
- The Sony A1 continues in production and that has 37mm thread so Sony would need to continue with that WA lens for the A1 at least.

Is that confirmed? I ordered one from their site a few minutes ago before checking here and it didn't advise of a backorder, only that no information was available as to a shipping date. I would imagine (but then again this is Sony) that they would say if the item is in stock or not on their site before you order so that you can try to find alternate sources.

ODD...

I found one in stock at a supplier in Ft. Lauderdale, the last one they had with no knowledge of when they would get more.

Must be a real market for them. I canceled my backorder from another supplier which was scheduled for late April (maybe).

Paid a few bucks more, but I should have it Monday.

OEM still has no ship date information.

I pulled that one up as well, looked at the sites a little and don't feel good about either, they look like box movers, no stock, so if they don't have them and think that they're going to order them in from Sony, they aren't going to be shipping me anything either.

For now I'm keeping my order in at Sony until I can find something more "concrete" at a real "trusted" outlet, unless then of coarse Sony ships first.
