Brian,

We had problems with several of our tapes making very loud noise. At first, my cinematographer thought it might be the camera, but we now think it was probably the tapes. We use the JVC-recommended tapes for the HD100 (the MDV63PROHDMC), and two of our batch of 18 made loud, disturbing noises. When we heard it, we immediately changed tapes, and the problem stopped.

I'm going to have JVC check into the noise when I send it in to have an output connector fixed. This is bothersome.
