Sony Z7 filter ring

Hello all,

Just upgraded to the Sony Z7 from Z1.

I cannot screw on my VCL-HG0872 wide angle lens which i used with the Z1 because the Z7's 72mm screw is build without any space between the screw and the glass which the z1 had.

Does anyone have a solution to this such as a step up ring/space system - or is anyone experiencing the same (frustrating) problem

Many thanks

I think Schneider Optics are coming out with a WA Adapter for the Z7 soon.

Matt,

I cannot speak for other manufacturers but I can tell you that the Z7U has its own optical design that is much wider and far different from previous lenses. We have had to design all new elements to cover this lens without vignetting. Our existing 72mm .8x will not cover this lens so we have had to make all new ones. We will be delivering a .6x wide angle adapter in about a month or so.

Call your favorite dealer and place a preliminary order. Reference the part number when you ask for it. If you don't get an order in early, you may have to wait longer.
