Microphone Rumbling (Excess Bass?)

Hi all,

Has anyone noticed quite a heavy bass rumbling with the supplied mic?

I've got things set on AUTO gain, NR on, Wind OFF, and notice quite a bit of bass noise. I need to add a highpass filter in post to eliminate the rumble effect.

How is your audio? What settings are you all using?

Keep auto gain off and add the hi-pass filter in post. NR off; wind on (it is just a hi-pass filter which is better done in post)

I found that when listening on cans with the NR off I could hear all sorts of RF and whirring sounds from the tape mechanism.
