Shotput is often crashing my new laptop

Has this been happening to anyone? It's a brand new MacBook Pro, 2.5 GHz, Intel Core 2 Duo
2GB ram.

I don't think I can use this program anymore. Not only does it crash, but those bad crashes, screen goes black, lots of Chinese writing.

what version do you have.
This has not happened to me, but I've only used it a few times.

How often does it happen and exactly when?

That's a full-on Kernal Panic. You might want to send them the Crashlog file and/or Panic log so they can tell you what's happening. You can usually find them in the <yourbootdrive> -->Library --> Logs --> CrashReporter (or PanicReporter). Their programmer can look at that and see what was happening when it crashed.

Never crashed mine. Re-install it and re-install the SxS drivers.

I have a 2.4G new Intel Core 2, also no crashing.
I was using 2.0.0 and just upgraded. Haven't tried the new one yet.

Does it always crash?

When does it happen?

It happens in the middle of a transfer of a card. One destination is desktop folder, and one a bus powered, G-Drive mini.
