Sideways mount

I have need to shoot with my camera (an HV30 + Brevis35 + rails rig) mounted on it's side so as to shoot full-frame "vertical."

I'm looking for some ideas as to the best, most solid options for getting this thing on it's side and still retain the basic functionality of the tripod.
