film like video capture from a P&S

Check out the videos captured by the Sigma DP1..

The videos are film like in both DOF and color.. too bad it maxes out at 320x240...

The reason why it looks so good is that the DP1 has a huge sensor..

It looks like a terrific little camera - a real step forward in terms of size and performance.

I want a video camera with that sensor! The colors look great and it seems to have a fantastic exposure latitude. I hope they make a DP2 that has at least 720x480 video. It sure would be nice to have such nice video and stills in such a small package. I could live with the 28mm equivalent field of view considering the relative lack of barrel distortion.
