Here are some shots I put together with my XLH1. Stock lens, no filters, HDV to tape:

This is a monster sized file (about 335mb I think) and there is a small glitch at the beginning. It may or may not work on your player (worked for me). I'll try to post a smaller, more compressed file soon. If it balks at the glitch at the beginning, try skipping a couple of frames. The rest looks fine.

EDIT: There's a clean copy uploaded now.

I am downloading now, but I am curious what status on you DVD is. Are you waiting for HD DVDs ?

Steven: Did you use the 35mm adapter for any of the sceene for the shallow depth of field effects ?

Frankly Chris, it's just laziness on my part that I have not gotten it together with the DVD. It's ready but I'm a little overwhelmed with the whole ordering process and how to set it up efficiently on my site.

Sometimes being a one-man band gets to be a little much :)

Short answer is that I hope to have the ordering system up and running within the next few weeks.

No adapters used in the piece above. Just zoomed in to minimize depth of field.

Questions: What program did you use for your opening titles?(Fonts)

I plan on buying a HD prosumer camcorder for my production company. What camera do you think is better The Canon XL H1 or the Panasonic HVX200? After watch your video, I now trying to decide between these two camcoders...

Thanks Michael. I used Premiere Pro 2.0 to do the titling.

Asking if you should get an HVX or an A1 is like asking how long is a piece of string.

There has been endless discussion about Canon vs. Panasonic, including a comparison of the A1 and the HVX by Barry Green over at DVXUser. Both are excellent cameras and it all boils down to what you are going to be shooting.

One unique aspect of the XLH1 is the fact that the lens is interchangeable.

I'm selling (or trying to) my XLh1 because I want to go with the lighter A1 for field work so let me know if you are interested at any point.
