Editing/Monitoring

I'm looking for a way to monitor what I'm doing in Final Cut Pro in 3d. I don't like anaglyph, and I'm also not very fond of active shutter glasses (they flicker), so I'm looking for a "passive" viewing solution like the iZ3d monitor. Is there any way to use it together with Final Cut Pro?

Are there any other solutions that are affordable like the iZ3d and might work with FCP? I'm just looking for a simple way to monitor what I'm doing in 3d....

You can use polarised monitors by using Tim Dashwoods Stereo Tool Box plugin.

I already checked out the demo version of his plug-in... the problem is that I don't think there's an affordable monitor like the iZ3D that works with Final Cut Pro, or is there?

You can use the Zalman and Hyundai Xpol polarised (passive) 3D monitors or some of the JVC 3D monitors.

Stereo3D Toolbox has always supported passively polarized displays at their native resolution when using the second DVI output. No drivers are necessary. With some 22" displays this meant that 1920x1080 would be cropped down to 1680x1050. However, in Stereo3D Toolbox 2 we have added a new filter specifically for down or up-scaling your footage for your specific monitor. There is also now a function to support editing on a single passively polarized display with 3D preview in the canvas.

Stereo3D Toolbox 2 will be officially released June 2.
