experience with Sony PMW TD-300?
 

Has anyone used this camera yet? Sounds great at a 45mm IA and easier post than Z10000.

Is it actually out yet?

Any reviews?

You do know it's a $33000 camera, yes?

It is available, I haven't had chance to play with one yet but know people that have. It seems to be a good piece of kit, although the 3-in-1 control dial is apparently a bit awkward to use and it only records at XDCAM 35MBs 422, which is a bit surprising for a broadcast camera - the Pannie 3DP1 with 100MBs AVC Intra (for the same price) seems like a better bet for broadcast but I haven't had chance to do a side by side yet.

Separate SxS cards for recording left/right so, um, yes from that point of view it may be easier for some to do post than the Z10000... but then again you can buy ten Z10000's for the same money and still have enough change to buy a few copies of Edius, so I guess it depends on what you want to use it for :)

I'm no expert on codec's, but I have worked with the HVX200 recording @100MB/s vs the Ex-1 or F3 at XDCAM 35MB/s 420 and they buried the HVX,, so numbers simply don't tell the entire story. A 422 version of an EX-1 is plenty of resolution for anything but a feature, so I'm excited about this camera.
The big issue is a 45mm IA which makes it possible to use on a documentary. I wouldn't buy it unless I had plenty more 3D work, but as a rental I'd jump at it for the right job.
I wis the editing issues with the Z10000 wren't such a hurdle. I don't know anyone using Edius.
