DVD Architect Pro 6.0 is out with 3D support

DVD Architect Pro 6.0 is out with 3D support. I have not had time to try it yet but I think you can make a menu driven 3D Blu-ray. I thing the menus are still in 2D though. Free upgrade for 5.2 owners.

Re: DVD Architect Pro 6.0 is out with 3D support

Have created two days ago my first test-MVC-based 3D-Blu-ray with menus with the DVDA6. Works fine so far. Two short teststreams from the TD10 pal version was prepared in Vegas Pro 12, renderd to 720 50p with the MVC-encoder. Audio was rendered with the AC3 Pro encoder to AC3 5.1 for the first and AC3 2.0 for the second stream. Neither the video nor the audio was recompressed in the DVDA, only the small menu had to be calculated.

Menus are in 2D, and there is no 3D preview from the DVDA6. Playback works fine with the Sony S590, and it switches from 2D to 3D if one choose a menu.

So far so great. :)

Wolfgang, how are the base and dependant .mvc files labelled from Vegas 12 coder? I mean the file extension names?

thankx

Paul :-)

The base stream is an .avc stream, the dependent stream is a .mvc stream.

Thanks Wolfgang,

I was hoping that DVDA6 would recognise Cinevision MVC Encodes, but of course it doesn't!

Re: DVD Architect Pro 6.0 is out with 3D support

It expects a base and an dependend mvc stream - and supports Vegas Pro 12. I do not know if one could use another MVC-encoded to feed the DVDA6 (but you have shown that it does not, at least not for Cinevision).
