3d camcorders interlaced compression

Except the Z10000 and higher priced camcorders, all other 3d camcorders record in 50i/60i - usually MVC.
The sensor is a native progressive sensor - so the question for the owners of these cameras (JVC GS-TD1, Sony TD10 and later models) is whether this is just PsF - i.e. progressive signal in an interlaced container ?

Re: 3d camcorders interlaced compression

no there is 2 sensor per camera, so the fact the sensor is progressive or not is not relevant.
the fact is camera makers (and particularly sony who is alos involved with blu-ray) have crippled the low end 3D products to 50/50i without clear reason, knowing that progressive 24p is mandatory for 3d blu-ray.
Is it to protect a "pro" version of these camera ? (the NX3D1 is almost the same as the TD10, but cost almost 3 time more).
an exception is the JVC , while 2 versions where available and only the pro version doing 24p, the pro version was also affordable (less than 1500$). Unfortunately the image quality was behind in reviews.

Mine (TD10) is full interlaced.

No question, great for slo motion 3D!

Re: 3d camcorders interlaced compression

The JVC GY-HMZ1U does a 24p output, but it's in that single file format like the GS-TD1.

Re: 3d camcorders interlaced compression

Has anyone captured progressive output from any of these using the ultrastudio ? Dashwood has a note on his site that the ultrastudio only captures interlaced over hdmi.
