I also use this light together with the adapter (swit 2010) for a Sony battery, I left it on at full power once for 2 straight hours and it was still no loss in light. I even think it can do 3 hours plus easily on a single npf970 sony battery.
The battery adapter you have to attach to your camera which is a bit problematic as you can only attach it to the handle so it's more difficult to hold your camera when not in use. It doesn't wheigh that much but combined with the heavy sony battery you feel the extra weight after some time with handycam type camera's.
I also thought these led lights didn't get hot but once it's on the front stays cool but the body gets really hot.
In general I am very satisfied with it, it was the cheapest led I could find and in performs more then well.
